Holistic activist and multi-passionate entrepreneur, Samantha Colli, shares her personal story of remembering that she is part of nature. From reaching burnout as a human rights lawyer to founding an initiative seeking to heal and regenerate eco-social ruptures, Sam’s story weaves childhood tales with global travels. She takes us on a journey of mind, body and spirit, revealing what led her to reconnect to the Mayan cosmovision of her ancestors, and how this has informed the unfolding of her life’s path.

In Sam’s We As Nature story, she shares:
• The legend of the Mayan Aluxes (‘little people’) and what it taught her
• How a decade spent working in human rights law perpetuated a story of separation from nature
• Her experience of burnout and how she emerged from this
• How reconnection to ceremony paved the way for new beginnings
• The impact of her time at Schumacher college
• The role of healing practices in moving from mind-dominance to feeling and being within her body
•How she came to create the digital platform ‘El Telar de Maya’ and its foundational cosmovision

About Sam

Samantha Colli is a holistic activist and multi-passionate entrepreneur. She is of Mayan descent and originally from Yucatan, Mexico. After working for over 10 years as an international human rights lawyer and activist in Mexico and Central America, she decided to embark on a journey searching for alternatives to holistically address ecological and social crises. She journeyed around Central America, Mexico, India, and the UK where she explored the connection of mind, body and spirit, indigenous ritual and ceremonial practices, participatory design theories, holistic science, alternative economies, and participated in social and ecological projects. Her adventures and experiences led her to create “Telar de Maya,” a digital platform where, through regenerative consultancy projects, podcasts, and (un)learning experiences, she weaves a new story where we live in harmony with all life on Earth.
