Young people are increasingly aware that the dominant systems of modern society are creating a future of unprecedented instability and suffering. Many adults in the education sector recognise the disconnect between the material they teach and the world young people are inheriting.
What does this mean for the future of education in modern societies?
To find answers to these pressing issues, Selvagem, an intersectional Indigenous-led collective from Brazil, is coming to London this June to host an in-person two-day symposium to reimagine education and ecological learning.
Taking place on Monday 26 & Tuesday 27 June, this free event will invite participants to map how education can include diverse ways of knowing, better mirror the diversity of natural ecosystems, inspire and support young people to lead the restoration of ecological health and redefine what constitutes valuable knowledge.
Applications are now closed.
This event is part of the ‘Meeting at the River: Navigating through Diverse Ways of Knowing‘ series running from June 26 – July 2nd in London. Facilitated by Selvagem in collaboration with Flourishing Diversity, Where the Leaves Fall, Synchronicity Earth and OmVed Gardens.
